With hurricane season upon us, we all know the importance of having an emergency plan. But do you have a plan in place for your pet? Here are our tips for making a plan and preparing your pet’s go-bag.
Make a Plan:
- Find pet-friendly housing on your evacuation route (hotels, friends, family, or boarding facilities)
- If you stay, ensure pets are indoors & unable to escape.
- Identify local pet-friendly emergency shelters.
Do not leave your pets behind. If it isn’t safe for you, it isn’t safe for your pets.
